The Sharks clubhouse has gone from humble beginnings on the Ern Dowling Oval to a multi-million dollar modern facility and has become a fun and relaxing venue for the whole family.

Our facilities include:

sharks sporting club houseBars – The Sharks has four bars, including the Main Lounge Bar, the Gaming Room Bar, the Functions Bar and the Sports Bar.

 

Bistro – The Clubs Bistro has an extensive menu and is open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Families are especially welcome and our Kids Menu is well priced. There are daily senior’s lunch specials, nightly dinner specials and our a la carte menu provides even more variety.

Bottle Shop – Members are offered regular specials and promotions in our bottle shop.

 

 

Coffee Shop – Visit our coffee shop and relax with a hot cuppa or try one of our delicious cakes. Our Gaming Room Coffee Shop is always open for a hot drink, light snack or sweet.

This is achieved through donations, assistance and contributions to our sporting clubs, local schools, individuals and charitable groups. Thanks to our loyal members, guests and staff we are able to provide financial and in-kind support to many of the great causes and groups in our local area, each year.

sharks club courtesy busCourtesy Bus – Our members courtesy bus will pick up and/or return to home addresses in Victoria Point, Thornlands, Cleveland, Redland Bay and Mt Cotton during designated hours Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Bookings must be made at reception on 3207 7865.

Dress Standards – To visit the Sharks, please dress by our standards for the benefit of all our patrons:
Smart, casual attire must be worn at all times.
We request that hats be removed while dining.
Rubber thongs are permitted.
Swimwear and T-shirts with obscenities are not permitted.
Suitability of dress standards remain at the discretion of management.

For smaller corporate meetings our Board Room is also available.

victoria point sharks parkingParking – Parking is rarely a problem with plenty of off-street parking. The car park is well lit and includes disabled parking close to the front entrance.

Sporting Groups – Sharks Club brings together the local sporting community hosting eight local sporting groups. Whether your kids are cricket crazy or you like a quiet bit of fishing, Sharks Club will accommodate. The Club has a premium AFL oval (lighted) and a cricket/AFL lit oval, 2 sets of cricket nets, and 2 fully lit softball diamonds.

Our History

The Victoria Point Sharks Sporting Club was founded as the Victoria Point Australian Football Club in 1966. The original clubhouse, built in 1973, was destroyed by a storm in 1984. Its replacement formed the base for the clubhouse as it now stands.
