Active After-School Communities Program

The Active Australia Schools Network (the Network) is for schools across Australia that share an interest in sport and physical activity and value the contribution to the overall health and wellbeing of young people and communities.

More than 1100 schools, representing primary and secondary-aged students from both government and non-government schools in metropolitan and rural locations, are already involved.

The Sharks are now in their 3rd year of this progressive program and service many schools in the Bayside Brisbane area. Sports such as AFL, Netball, Cricket, Hockey, and multi sports figure heavily.

If your school aims to:

• conduct a quality sport and physical education program
• encourage and support sport initiatives everywhere in the school community
• seek and provide opportunities for everyone to be physically active outside scheduled classes
• create a school environment that supports and encourages sport and physical activity
